Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. Her career began with Broadway career performing in musicals like Wicked, Legally Blonde and Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in an Play. Annaleigh has been collaborating on projects with award-winning directors, actors, and producers throughout the course of her career. Ashford will be next starring opposite Kumail Nanjiani on the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford is currently working in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust alongside Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. It's also available in the form of an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford's Broadway comeback will be in March 2023 when he stars opposite Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same team who produced Hamilton is directing the production. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis, which saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp at the center of the nation's first impeachment proceedings during the Over an Century. Ashford appeared for two seasons in CBS popular comedy B Positive. She also appeared in the popular series developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, that starred the legendary actresses Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Not a stranger to Broadway Ashford was awarded the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her role as Essie. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde is among her other Broadway credits. Ashford has been born in Denver is now based living in Los Angeles and New York.
